Tamanna Bhatai (born 21 Dec, 1989), is an Indian actress. She works in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi Cinema. In her film career, she has done 73 movies.
She has won many awards one of which is the South Indian International Movie Award also won eight Filmfare Awards South nominations. She got her doctorate in 2022 for her contributions to Indian Cinema.
With Prabhas, Tamannaah played the swashbuckling and fiery Avantika in SS Rajamouli's Baahubali.
She had her dazzling moments in this fantasy epic, but for the most part, she played a warrior who shot arrows and was unafraid of the environment.
The Hindi movie Chand Sa Roshan Chehra served as the launchpad for Tamannaah's acting career (2005). She later made her film debuts in Tamil with Kedi and Telugu with Sri (2006).
She appeared in two drama films on college life in 2007: Happy Days in Telugu and Kalloori in Tamil.
Early life
Her father is a dealer in diamonds. She is of Hindu Sindhi ancestry. She attended Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School in Mumbai for her formal education. Later, for numerological reasons, she modified her screen name to Tamannaah.
She began her career when she was 13 years old and was spotted at her school's yearly day event.
She spent a year performing with Mumbai's Prithvi Theatre after accepting a starring role there. The year is omitted She contributed to the 2005 album song "Lafzo Mein" from Abhijeet Sawant's Aapka Abhijeet.
