For many years, Netflix was infamous for being secretive about its viewership. Netflix, however, created a website in mid-November that posts charts of its most popular episodes and movies from the previous week as well as a global list of its all-time most-watched titles.
This was after deleting statistics for portions of its content for a few years.
Every Tuesday, the business publishes its weekly "Top 10 on Netflix" based on the number of hours viewed of both original and licensed programs from Monday through Sunday of the previous week.
Netflix's rankings are divided into the top 10 charts for films in English, TV in English, films in non-English languages, and TV in non-English languages.
The website also includes a list of the shows with the highest viewing hours within the first 28 days of release, as well as a ranking of the most-watched shows of all time.

For programs and films to make it onto lists of the most watched media ever, they must maintain a certain level of popularity throughout numerous nations. This implies that even though films may display "Top 10" badges for days in the Netflix app, they may not be producing enough viewing hours to rank among the best of all time.
For instance, You's fourth season's first half was released on February 9. Since then, 183.9 million hours of the popular psychological thriller about a serial killer have been viewed. And the popularity of the show has increased with each succeeding season.
The ultimate audience total for You won't be known until early April, though, because this season is being broadcast in two parts and the second half of the fourth season won't be revealed until March 9.
In the meantime, the third season of the adolescent mystery smash Outer Banks premiered on Thursday and garnered 155 million viewing hours in only four days.
Also, the Wednesday releases of the true-crime limited series Murdaugh Murders and the British horror-thriller The Strays have increased Google search interest.
